Learn How to Prepare Your Garden for a Rain Water Tank!

This is part 1 of a 2 series rainwater harvesting system installation. As part of our Rain Catchers in Your Neighborhood Program, Conservation Works installs rainwater harvesting systems at schools, community gardens, and other public spaces that the community gets to help build!

Come on by ready to lend a hand and learn about the steps it takes to install a rainwater tank in your own garden. This event (May 17th) will be focused on preparing the tank pad and placing the tank.

Stick around afterwards and help out in the garden! Community Soil Foundation opens up their garden space to volunteers from 10-2pm on the third Saturday of each month.

Part 2, on June 21st, will be focused on the plumbing, which including putting together the conveyance and creating a rain garden for the overflow section.
